Creativity & Innovation at SXSW Sydney

SXSW rolled into Australia for the first time, and we were so excited to see what was on offer. And in true SXSW fashion, it was an avalanche of inspiration, innovation, and experiences. While we were there to bring Culture Amp's vision to life, we couldn't help checking out all the impressive activations from our peers in the industry. We’ve got a feeling next year, it’s going to be even bigger and better. Here are the activations that grabbed our attention:

Primeville - In the heart of SXSW Sydney, we found ourselves stepping into a wonderland of blue. Primeville, brought to life by Prime Video, let us explore the diverse worlds of their top shows. From the Reacher Diner to Cousin’s Beach, each corner offered a fully interactive adventure.

Snapchat House - Snapchat wowed us with its innovative blend of technology and real-world experiences. A giant AR photo tower let us play with an interactive body-tracking lens for shareable AR portraits. Inside the house, a beauty bar allowed attendees to try out AI filters with beauty products which were brought to life by makeup artists IRL.

Suntory Minus 196 - Suntory took brand immersion to a whole new level with its towering 3 story EXTREME Vending Machine. We ventured inside to uncover the secrets behind their product's freeze technology and the journey ended at an epic rooftop bar. Suntory made sure we could see, touch, and feel their brand, which was truly impressive.

SXSW Sydney itself was incredible. The event's breadth, the networking opportunities, the music and the calibre of speakers were top-notch. It's an event that Australia hasn't experienced at this scale before, and we can't wait to see what's in store for next year.
